Does Sugaring Hurt?
This is one of the major concerns that all of my clients have before they get sugared for the first time. To answer this question honestly... the first treatment is the worst, due to the fact that the bulb at the base of the hair shaft is enlarged. The more treatments you receive, the weaker the roots get and the easier it is to remove the hair, therefor you will notice that you will have a less painful experience during each treatment. All of my clients that have tried waxing have said with gladness that sugaring is less painful then waxing! One other thing to keep in mind is that certain areas of your body will feel more painful then others. To help ease the pain try taking a tylenol or Advil an hour before your appointment. Another suggestion is that if you have been shaving then shave once more and then let your hair grow out for 2 weeks before getting sugared. Do not wait too long (don't let your hair grow in too long) the longer your hair is the more painful it is as well! I do however need at least 1/8 inch length to work with. This would be as long as a grain of rice to be exact. For more info about sugaring as well as my prices please visit my body sugaring page!
