Karen Langlois - Lead Designer and Owner of Sugar Bloom
Karen Langlois — Owner & Operator, Sugar Bloom Floral Karen Langlois, the owner and operator of Sugar Bloom Floral, has always had a deep-rooted passion for flowers. As a teenager, she loved drying flowers and creating wreaths and accent pieces as a hobby. Her career began in the floral industry, working with wholesale companies and florists where she honed her skills in bouquet design, floral arrangements, and wedding floristry. It didn’t take long for Karen to discover that weddings were her true calling. After designing wedding florals for a few friends, she knew she had found her niche. In 2009, she officially launched Sugar Bloom Floral, turning her passion into a thriving business. Today, Karen not only brings beauty to weddings with her stunning floral arrangements but also fulfills individual orders with the same care and creativity. Her flowers are sourced from around the world — roses from Ecuador and Colombia, ranunculus and tulips from Holland, and eucalyptus from New Zealand — often traveling long distances with remarkable resilience. Whenever possible, Karen also incorporates locally grown blooms to celebrate and support local growers. Originally from the Niagara region, Karen moved to Oxford County in 2013 with her husband, who works at the Woodstock Toyota plant. Together, they are raising two children who are active in hockey, dance, and skating. Beyond her love for flowers, Karen has a strong passion for food and cooking. She enjoys experimenting with new recipes and dreams of one day starting her own catering company. Hosting dinner parties and sharing her culinary creations with others brings her immense joy. In her downtime, you can often find Karen relaxing with a good sitcom or diving into a true crime show. Connect with Karen: 🌸 Website: www.sugarbloom.ca 🌸 Facebook & Instagram: @sugarbloomfloral |
